Does the idea of being a positive influence in the life of a foster child make you eager to learn more? Have you been looking for an opportunity to volunteer and make a difference in the community? Join Crown Point Health Suites for “CASA 101”, a way to learn more about CASA of the South Plains, on Thursday, March 5, noon to 1 p.m., at Crown Point Health Suites, 6640 Iola Ave. Lunch is free for attendees who RSVP to Michelle Stephens, firstname.lastname@example.org or 806.780.7000.
CASA of the South Plains empowers community members to serve as volunteer advocates that speak for the well-being of abused and neglected children in the foster care system. CASA representatives will share information about the continuing need for advocates due to the growing problem of neglect and child abuse in the South Plains and on how you can make a difference.
